Warrick Stock, who went by the name DJ Warras, was shot and killed in the central business district on a Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities reported the forty-year-old media personality was approached by a trio of assailants, with one opened fire on him before running away.

The purpose behind the shooting remains unclear and no suspects have been apprehended are in custody, police said.

The Fatal Incident

Law enforcement revealed that Stock was attacked as he was leaving a location near the Carlton Centre.

He had spent several hours at the building supervising the installation of safety equipment, which had been reportedly taken over by unidentified individuals, as per local media.

"The report indicates the man was approached by three unidentified men after parking his vehicle, and they shot at him before fleeing the scene on foot," authorities said.

Surveillance tape reportedly captured a man with dreadlocks and dressed in what looked like a guard's attire opening fire on Stock before running away.

The DJ tried to run away after he was hit but fell down on the opposite side of the road.

It was further revealed that Stock had an weapon on his person and no items were stolen during the attack.
