England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the upcoming Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

The trio have been honoured for their outstanding achievements over the last year.

Agyemang helped the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the maiden time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a historic innings.

Littler won the award in 2024 after his sensational debut year.

The shortlisted athletes were revealed during a live broadcast on a widely-listened-to radio show.

The 2025 recipient will be revealed live on the prestigious sports ceremony show on December 18th.

The ceremony will be aired from seven in the evening GMT.

Agyemang's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Just three months after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.

She came off the bench to score key tying goals in both the knockout stage games.

These match-saving moments led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.

Afterwards, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the finest emerging star on the continent.

She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.

Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.

"Being nominated for this award is a privilege," said Agyemang. "I thank God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."

Littler's Profile

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler kicked off the year in spectacular fashion as - aged 17 - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.

He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.

He didn't stop there - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the very first time.

At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, shattering the previous record.

"Being nominated for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a special memory for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."

Perrin's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and surged to prominence with an remarkable and historic innings in August.

Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.

It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.

Perrin ended up as runner-up in the batting rankings and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.

"I'm deeply humbled to be nominated for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it motivates more young females to get into cricket."
